Suvarna offers an advanced Picture Archiving and Communication System(PACS) which is an essential part of any Radiology Information System. The Suvarna PACS system integrates the best features and technologies for end users to offer
Integration
Seamless integration with RIS, HIS and other related modules. Our HIMS modules are designed for providing the highest level of flexibility and integration within our modules.
DICOM
DICOM protocol used in PACS is capable of managing and transmitting all types of images and signals including ECG and pathology related images.
Film library
Facility to create film libraries.
Access
Provides single point of access for images and their associated data.
Interface
Interfacing amongst multiple systems provides a more consistent and reliable dataset. The interface can also improve workflow patterns by assigning the images as read, pending, reported and verified.
Reports
Dictation of reports can be integrated into a single system. The recording is automatically sent to a transcript writer's workstation for typing, but it can also be made available for access by physicians, avoiding typing delays for urgent results, or retained in case of typing errors pending amendments.
Provides a single tool for quality control and audit purposes
Rejected images can be tagged, allowing for analysis subsequently (as may be required under radiation protection legislation). Workloads and turn-around time are reported automatically for improving management effectiveness.
Replace Manual Films
Elimination of expensive silver-based film.
Previous data access
Improves accessability to new and old films for all physicians to monitor the progress of care.
Speed
All the films are available for analysis immediately on completion of the procedure, and reducing reporting time.
Storage reduction
Reduction in physical storage space.
Cost reduction
Lower cost for storing, maintaining and retrieval of films.
Picture archiving and communication system (PACS) is an integrated system for acquiring, sorting, transporting, storing, and electronically displaying medical images. It communicates images and reports to referring physicians in a timely and reliable manner through the EMR to support clinical processes.
Basic components of PACS include
Image acquisition
Image acquisition: Includes decoding the received image data, converting the images to a standard format and transferring the image to the data management host computer from various modalities.
Data Management Subsystem
Includes acquiring images from the host computer, archiving images, distributing images to the display work stations, processing image retrieval requests, data paging, offline storage protocols and rule based data purging.
Display subsystem
Includes image manipulation tools and contrast manipulation tools for different views
